The present article seeks to reflect on the affinities and differences between the ideas of Aimé Césaire, an Afro-Caribbean intellectual, and María Lugones, an Argentine feminist philosopher, on the theme of decolonization. We rely on articles written by him/her and others that analyze their works. We intend to contribute to the debate on decolonization based on the thought of Aimé Césaire and María Lugones. After having approximated Césaire's and Lugones' thoughts, we will see how important it is to keep in mind the concept of decolonization when we analyze social relations in the Americas.
