O PATRIARCADO NA CIDADE

Assumindo a leitura marxista da sociedade, em que as formas ideológicas se compõem a partir de uma realidade material existente a priori, entende-se ideologia como o conjunto de ideias que serve e representa a classe dominante. O presente artigo traz essa leitura à discussão de gênero nas cidades, expondo o patriarcado como o instrumento ideológico da classe dominante nas disputas de gênero. Dessa forma, é feita uma análise da mútua relação entre a estrutura territorial e a ideologia vigente, abordando a influência do patriarcado no acesso das mulheres ao espaço urbano. Ao final entende-se a necessidade da introdução de discussões e análises sob a perspectiva de gênero a fim de entender o lugar e os papéis da mulher na cidade, como mostrado nos exemplos analisados.

Abstract

Trough a Marxist view towards society, in witch ideologies are based in a pre existent material reality, there is a general consensus that ideology is a collection of ideas that serves and represents the dominant class. This article brings to light the discussion about the gender in the city, exposing the patriarchy as an ideological tool from the dominan class in the gender debate. In that exposure, the ir an analysis of the mutual relation between territorial structure and current ideology, approaching the patriarchy influence in the accessibility women are gave in the urban space. In the end, the need of the intriduction of the debate and analysis from the gender's perspective becomes very clear in order to understand the places and roles designated to women in the city, as showed in studied examples.
